Voices of Soul sing Bridge Over Troubled Water to a sell-out audience

In the presence of Andrew Selous MP, Nicole Witts and her team raised over £2500 for the fight against brain tumours with a spectacular fashion show and gala at Leighton Buzzard Golf Club. Afterwards, Andrew said:

Nicole is an inspiration to others. I am grateful to her in bringing my attention to the fact that brain tumours are the fifth highest form of cancer and it needs research and publicity.

The event was covered by Leighton Buzzard TV and by the Leighton Buzzard Observer, who said

(Proceedings included) hair demonstrations by Sculptors of Lake Street, make-up by Clarins UK, a fashion show by Daisie Lane, Waterborne Walk, and a sexy vintage retro lingerie parade by Stockings and Romance, Leighton Buzzard, which Nicole took part in!

Other companies which offered freebies or discounts included Expressions Beauty, St Judes Clinic body alignments, healing by Angelicas Crystals.

The evening was completed by a giant raffle with over 50 prizes on offer – a Champneys spa break lining up with a guided tour of the House of Commons, to name a few.

To finish the evening, ITV X Factor’s Voices With Soul sang for Nicole again, two years on from when they first sang for her in Luton and Dunstable Hospital. They performed ‘Like A Bridge Over Troubled Water’ again and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

The girls, from Luton, followed the tear-jerker with ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ and Gloria Gaynor’s belter ‘I Will Survive’.
